On August 13th, the 2026 Cambodia International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition kicked off at the Diamond Island International Convention and Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The fourday exhibition will continue until August 16th.

On the first day, the exhibition hall was crowded with people, and professional buyers gathered around the booths showcasing multiple sets of fully electric highspeed injection molding machines, intelligent visual inspection systems, and automated production lines. Several buyers from Cambodia, as well as neighboring countries such as Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar, conducted technical consultations and business matchmaking on site.

Cambodia's plastics, rubber, and packaging printing industries are on the eve of a boom.

Plastics Sector: Currently, Cambodia's plastics manufacturing industry is primarily focused on daily-use, packaging, and construction plastic products. The industry chain remains incomplete, presenting a significant opportunity for equipment and technology suppliers. In particular, the rapid growth in the registration of small and medium-sized enterprises in the chemical, rubber, and plastics industries indicates that the demand for basic processing equipment such as extruders, injection molding machines, and blow molding machines, as well as high-quality molds and components, will reach a peak.

Rubber industry: As a traditional advantageous industry, Cambodia's total rubber export value reached approximately $1.18 billion in 2024, marking a year-on-year increase of 74.8%. The surge in exports has not only driven upstream planting but also generated demand for rubber primary processing, deep processing equipment, and waste tire recycling and reuse technology.

Packaging and printing: With the vigorous development of e-commerce and the expansion of local food and beverage processing industries, the demand for highquality and environmentally friendly packaging materials has significantly increased. Flexographic printing equipment, digital printing technology, and recyclable material solutions have broad prospects in the local market.
